Don’t want to deal with the hassle of bringing your own canoe? Murtle Lake Canoe Rentals is the solution. Book your canoe (or kayak) in advance and enjoy your vacation instead of worrying about logistics of hauling your own canoe. All rentals include the use of a gear cart or wagon to transport your gear from the parking lot to the lagoon where your canoe will be waiting.

Booking a rental is easy. Either send us an email, or use our contact form to indicate when you would like to reserve your canoe(s) or kayak(s). Your inquiry will be promptly followed up by our friendly staff so you can confirm your reservation details with an actual person! Payments are made via Paypal for your convenience and security.
How to find us:
Murtle Lake is accessed by travelling highway 5 to Blue River and then following a twisting, rough gravel road 27 km to the portage parking lot. This is where you leave your vehicle, and transfer your gear down a “wheelchair accessible” 2.5 km trail to the lagoon launch, WHERE YOU PAY YOUR CAMPING FEES at the self registration station.
We proudly provide only high-quality Hellman canoes!Hellman Canoes are hand built in Nelson, BC. They are light, fast and track very well – this is a premium canoe that, according to canoe magazines, ranks with the top brands in the world.These canoes are not for beginners! Some previous experience in a canoe is required. If you haven’t paddled before, Murtle is not the lake to start on.
